“I was at friend’s house for their son’s birthday party. To celebrate his Chinese-Indian-finnish heritage, The Texas Dragon Dance Team performed a traditional lion dance in their back yard. The sun was streaming in, it was perfect”.
Niru is Indian American, from Austin. “I have a lot of Asian friends, we try to get together culturally in different ways. It makes me happy to see all the outreach Austin is doing for the Asian community.” Niru is the mom of Avinash, Nandini and Lakshman.
